Okay, so I’m back in Dubai. That doesn’t mean that I have to stop having fun right? That’s at least what I told myself, so I took off for a walk at about 7 this morning. I couldn’t sleep last night so I got up and started transfering my video camera stuff to my computer. At about 7 I decided to go for a walk. When I stepped outside I was hit by a heat that I didn’t expect. I’ve taken a snapshot of the current temperature at 930, 2 hours later.

Notice the “real feel” temperature. Damn I just wasn’t prepared for that this early in the morning. Did I stop, nope. I decided that I used to walk in warm temps before so I’d get used to it…and I did to some degree(no pun intended). I ended up walking until about 9, stopped to get a coffee and then decided to take a taxi home.

I’m not complaining mind you. I simply didn’t expect it to be so hot so early in the morning. Anyway, I took some pics of the marina a few blocks from my apartment… actually I took some pics along the way too. When you look through the images, notice all the cranes that you see. Nearly every pic has at least a few that are visible. Remember this is just within a short distance from my apartment, the construction is going on everywhere in Dubai.

You know, now that I’m home you’d think that I could find something other than a dark blue shirt and khaki shorts to wear. :) When I think about it, I don’t want my vacation to end so I guess when I got dressed I dressed the way I have for the last 40+ days. I can’t tell you how much I don’t want my vacation to end. I even spent some time this morning planning my next vacation to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and maybe Laos this xmas break.

On a kind of crappy note, my video camera seems to have had some problems along the way during my vacation. I taped about 4 hours of footage on about 8 small disks. Out of the 8 disks 4 were fine, and there was one that had some stuff on it, but the rest all seem to freeze up when I go to transfer the video to a regular disk so I can put it on my computer. I’m not reallly sure right now what’s been lost…at least for now, but hopefully by tonight I’ll have a better idea of the damage.
